Clothing for moms who don't have a ton of money or live in big cities with lots of clothing stores. 3 New pieces of clothing with 2-3 outfits to wear them with.

There is a copyright song in the video, so the video only works in some countries and on some platforms. If your on you phone it might work on the computer. Sorry, I was listening to Taylor swift  shake it off and then when I went to use a song playable on youtube it just didn't work. Lesson learned for next time!

Definition of a YouTube Mom

What is a YouTube mom?

A YouTube Mom is just like any other YouTuber. It's someone who; Films them selves or their life and posts it on YouTube. Someone who makes Vlogs (Video Blogs). A person who connects with an audience, whether it be 10 views or 100,000,000 viewers. Someone with a passion of telling stories who inspires and entertains people.

Some moms are teen moms while others are older and more stable. Some choose to show only their children, while other choose to just talk about their children. Some moms show strictly stuff related to being a mom, while others show how they stay them selves while being a mom.

But a YouTuber can't really be defined because we are all so different. The only thing we truly have in common is our love for YouTube.

I am a YouTube mom. I show my struggles of being a young single mom of twins with special needs.

Who's your favorite YouTube Mom ?

Tracheostomy Awareness Week 2014

This year for Tracheostomy Awareness Week I posted a video a day (on youtube) about different things to do with Trachs. I think it really helped some of our "followers" better understand what it means to have a child with a trach.

Day 1; I talked about what a Tracheostomy is vs. a Tracheotomy, Said a few reasons off the top of my head that I know of why someone who have a trach and explained why Hannah has a Trach.

Day 2; I always get so many questions about suctioning on my videos that I went into full details of everything I could think of that had to do with suctioning! Why you need to be suction, How you suction, how to use a manual suction and how to use the suction machine

Day 3; I talked about how Hannah just got taken off the ventilator and what we would do now in an emergency. I also talked about the plan to decanulate her ( The plan to take out the trach )

Day 4; This was probably my favorite one. Everything I could think of that you can NOT do with a trach (swimming, sand, hair spray ect)

Day 5; Whats in Hannahs Emergency bag. Everything you ALWAYS need to have with a trach a gtube

Day 6; How loosing the ventilator & trach will effect me. Because how trachs effects parents matter to! :)

Day 7; This wasn't so tracheostomy related but the scariest moment of having a Trach/medically complex child happened during this week so I had to share!!

Thanks for watching and being apart of Tracheostomy Awareness Week :)

Sharing our life. It's my right

It's been forever since I sat down in front of a computer to type a blog post! These days I'm all about vlogs and the quickly posting them on my blog. But today I wanted to talk about something I don't really want to make a video about yet.. I may in the future but today I want to talk about; How I choose what I share.. kind of.

I share our life and our journey because, it is our life to share! I try to leave out names and places of people who don't need to be named. I don't say the address of where we lived of the cities we use to live in.

Also called free speech.

Wikipedia describes freedom of speech as;

Freedom of speech is the political right to communicate one's opinions and ideas using one's body and property to anyone who is willing to receive them. The term freedom of expression is sometimes used synonymously, but includes any act of seeking, receiving and imparting information or ideas, regardless of the medium used. The right to freedom of speech is not absolute in any country and is commonly subject to limitations based on the speech implications of the harm principle including libelslander, obscenity and pornographyseditionhate speechclassified informationcopyright violationtrade secretsnon-disclosure agreements.

  • Non-disclosure agreement;  is a legal contract between at least two parties that outlines confidential material, knowledge, or information that the parties wish to share with one another for certain purposes, but wish to restrict access to or by third parties.

Since I havn`t signed any disclosure agreements, not using copyrighting things, not rebellion against the government, don`t know any government classified information, don`t share pornography, don`t use hate speech or obscenity and everything I say is the absolute true, I am well within my rights.
I am not exploiting my children. I share our journey for many reasons other then `my own gain`.

I share our story because it is a way for me to deal with everything that is happening. To me its like self counselling, before I started my blog I was very much depressed.
I share our journey to help other families. To help families in the NICU, to help newly trach families, for trach families to have someone to reach out to, to give specail needs families hope.
I share our journey to help single moms out there know they can do it alone.
I share our journey to educate people who have no idea what it is like to have a child be in the hospital for a year and a half, to be in the NICU, to live with a trach or home nursing.
I share our journey for support! Not only do people find me that need help but people that can help also find me.

There is a long list of reasons why I share our life and why I LOVE to share our life

Front Page Of Paper!

I was contacted by Children's Health Foundation Vancouver Isalnd about doing an interview about Jeneeces place! They then put me in contact with editor Erin at our local paper on doing the article.
This is the first time our story has ever been published! I'm so grateful to have had this experience.

We made the front page!

While celebrations were taking place in Victoria for the second anniversary of Jeneece Place, Comox Valley mom Bonnie Harris was celebrating another day with her twin daughters.
Harris, who frequented the home-away-from-home near Victoria General Hospital, said she now takes every day as it comes with a goal of having her daughter's tracheostomy removed.
"(Prior to the twins' birth) I had never been to the Victoria hospital," said Harris. "It was really nice at Jeneece Place; it's a big house where you create connections and get to know other families going through similar things as you. They are so warm and welcoming."
Twenty weeks into her pregnancy, Harris learned she was having twin girls, and one was significantly smaller than the other.
"The egg didn't split in half; the hospital gave me three options — to keep both and continue with ultrasounds, to terminate the smaller baby, or just to go home. I delivered at 29 weeks," she explained.
Both very premature, Hannah was born at 1.7 pounds and Hailey at 2.14 pounds. Hailey spent the first two-and-a-half weeks of her life in hospital, while Hannah "was really, really sick," noted Harris. "Both her heart and bowels weren't growing."
Hannah was in the hospital for 507 days and had five surgeries and 14 blood transfusions.
Following time at BC Children's Hospital in Vancouver, Harris asked to be transferred to a hospital close to home, and found herself at Victoria General, spending time — their longest was two-and-a-half months — at Jeneece Place.
"We've been back several times since then; in November we spent the whole month there," she added, and noted they have celebrated Easter and Thanksgiving with other families at the house.
The house offers a peaceful, comfortable modern space near the hospital with 10 bedrooms, accommodating more than 40 guests, along with nine staff members and 17 active volunteers.
It costs about $325,000 a year to operate, and opened its doors Jan. 20, 2012 by then-18-year-old founder Jeneece Edroff. It is supported by the Children's Health Foundation of Vancouver Island.
Since opening its doors, the house has hosted more than 750 families, with 96 per cent of them coming from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Forty-three Comox Valley families have used the facility.
As a way to keep others updated on the twins' progress as well as provide an outlet for writing, Harris keeps a blog documenting her journey raising the girls. She is looking at expanding to video posts, counting close to 88,000 page views since starting.
"I really wish I had started sooner, but it's a matter of finding time to type," she said.
